This is a time that Usapho Indlu intentionally invests into the children and youth, building foundational values through holiday clubs, outdoor adventures and specific programs built around a purposeful theme. With the invaluable help of different volunteers with expertise in various areas, activities that fit in with our chosen theme can be organised and presented.
Year Beyond, our partner organization, presented a 5 day holiday club involving all ages, with loads of creativity and teaching.
Diana Rohrer and volunteers led a hike through our beautiful forests in the mountains up above George where the children experienced mountain streams, vegetation and the animal kingdom.
On Mandela Day, 18 July, Diana and the volunteers organized a “Made in God’s Image” workshop for our young teens and youth at the Methodist Church.
Topics that they discussed and addressed during the day were ‘Caring for your Body’, ‘Purity and Modesty’, ‘Nutrition and First Aid’, ‘Godly relationships’ and ‘Worship’. The young people were blessed and spoilt, having been nourished both inside and out with love by all of the facilitators.
Usapho Indlu are deeply grateful to those who step forward and generously give and build relationships so that others can mature and grow into their full potential. God has such incredible plans for each one of our young people!
