Our staff and their families are very important to us. We are focusing on their well-being, their personal growth and furthering their education with studies and life skills training opportunities.
Siphokazi is married to Mncedi, who works in the Hospitality Industry and is a waiter at Fancourt Hotel and Resort. They have two beautiful boys, Iyamangalisa and Sikhento who attend a local school and are in Grades 1 and 3. The boys also attend our Education Centre in the afternoons. They live on the property of their church where they are Senior Leaders. Last year we were privileged to rebuild their small shack so they currently have a lovely – and more comfortable – two bedroom bungalow.

Siphokazi oversees The Love Project which we run on Wednesday mornings. She cooks a meal and serves the local community members who are hungry and in need of some love and care. She prays for those who are in need and serves food for up to 50 adults, the elderly, teenage moms with babies and sick folk who have no support. She also cooks for our 27 children every morning, and serves them at our Education Centre in the afternoon.
Her goals for 2022 are to rewrite her Grade 12 and achieve a better pass rate (she rewrites in June 2022). This will enable her to study further. Her second goal was to have her eyes tested as she felt she had a problem with her vision and was experiencing headaches. We took her to an Optician – who is a supporter of Usapho Indlu – and upon testing discovered that she had very poor vision! She was immediately fitted with spectacles of the correct prescription and now truly has “NEW VISION”. Her life has changed and we are so happy for her.

She has signed up for twice weekly training in creative arts through our local Municipality, and has commenced with bead making. She hopes to turn this into her side business, creating additional income. This training will take four months and forms part of her employment with us.

If you would like to support Siphokazi in any way, please send us an email. We will be thrilled to receive your communication. Thank you for praying for her and her beautiful family. God has big plans for them.
