Food Gardening Workshops Blossom

We are constantly offering food garden workshops in our community and to the public, including other NGO’s.

On 19 March 2026, 16 beneficiaries from Cremhog, Womb to Tomb and Little Champions attended an exciting workshop filled with demonstrations, practical application and knowledge to empower and equip themselves, their communities and their schools.

Food Security remains a key focus area: home gardens provide nutritious vegetables, herbs and fruit, creates opportunities for establishing a small side hussle, and gives beneficiaries an interest and exercise in the sun! The message of Recycle, Reuse and Repurpose was also stressed to create awareness of the destruction being caused by waste and littering.

Creating compost heaps is imperative to build healthy soil and to develop a foundation for growing food. The workshop attendees were gifted with Usapho Indlu compost, mulch, worm tea, seedlings and seeds to start the process in their community.

A message from NGO Cremhog “Thank you again for a wonderful workshop” shows again that knowledge is power.
