Recently a group of six Irish teenagers landed in George on a missions trip and headed to Thembalethu to lend a hand.
Usapho Indlu’s resident gardener, Jonathan Sauer, was blessed by their visit saying, “What a team…coming from far…as young as they are to serve our community, the children of Usapho. It’s a ‘God thing’.”
The young people started in the gardens, and went on to play games with the children and share their personal testimonies. They also did a teaching based on Matthew 8: 23-27 where Jesus calms the storm. The teaching was followed by fun arts and crafts that included Jesus on the boat with His friends.
As they departed the Usapho Indlu children sent them off with a joyful song to show their gratitude for the visit.
